It is not my first visit to Istanbul but i regretted that this site wasn’t visited before We didn’t see that much as a part was under restoration But it is very nice site - try to get the ferry to visit it if you are in Istanbul to see it from the see - it is magnificent

Regretfully, there was not much to see at the time of our visit because most of it was closed for renovation. The weather was nice, we walked around a little bit there was not much we could see except for some still impressive protection walls and some nice views of the sea,

Still on renovation, only inner garden available, all towers are closed. The garden is nice and peaceful, but it's not worth visit if it's far from you. Ticket costs 100 TRL

The whole fortress is under restoration and therefore about 80% of the area cannot be entered and most of the towers and walls are covered. The experience was quite disappointing and it would have been better to close the whole fortress completely until the restoration work is finished. As long as the restoration work is not completed, it’s not worth a visit. Better safe your time and money and go somewhere else in the meantime.
