155My first visit to Turk Telecom Arena and I have to stay I was not disappointed, the Arena Is very big and the atmosphere generated inside can be almost deathening as the Galatasary fans are fanatical, loud and also a bit crazy but also very friendly. The GS shop is also big and the staff friendly and helpful. Loved my trip to see the best teami in Turkey in their famous stadium. I will be back many more times and support my team in Turkey.
I went there twice in 1 week for the GS-FB derby and the game against PSG. Never seen in my entire life this kind of atmosphere, it was unforgettable! Ladies be careful, don't go there with a full purse like I did lol... I didn't know about that and I had to throw my lipstick handsanitizer perfume deodorant powerbank and selfiestick as well at the security check hahahah. But nvm it was worth of it :D The access is very easy by the subway (seyrantepe stop) and there is a mall near by. CIMBOMBOM ♡
Turk Telekom Arena is the home of Galatasaray, the most successful football team from Turkey. They left their old iconic stadium 8 years ago and moved to this new place. The stadium can be reached via subway from Taksim. With its capacity of 52.000 people , there is quite an atmosphere in home games, especially during Istanbul derbies against Fenerbahce and Besiktas. Apart from those games the stadium is never sold out so you can find a ticket easily however you need be registered to a system, called "passolig" and that is a bit irritating.
We’d travelled to Istanbul to watch the Galatasaray vs Besiktas game in March ‘20 only for it to be played behind closed doors. Slightly annoying but we did go to the stadium to have a look. One thing that surprised me was the fact that there was nothing around the place, no bars nothing. It was very convenient to step right off the underground into the stadium gates though.
The biggest stadium in Istanbul and one of the famous one’s in Europe. The stadium of the famous club Galatasaray
