44The Gallery Fatih has high-quality, beautiful items. This store is the place to go if you are looking for carpet, ceramics, or tiles. We bought several things from Bayram Ali, who was welcoming and friendly. The prices are reasonable without the high-pressure sales environment. He took time out of his day to walk us around the city and share knowledge about Istanbul. I will definitely be coming back to this store.
We had a great experience shopping here. I went in just to look and left with a beautiful Turkish rug! The staff was very hospitable and patient with my friends and me. We all ended up buying something from the store. Bayram Ali was amazingly gracious and even took us on a private tour of the old city in Instanbul. Overall Highly Recommended!!!!
If you’re looking for ceramics or silk cushions we really liked Gallery Fatih. It’s between the Blue Mosque and Little Hagia Sofia. Prices were very reasonable compared with the dozens of other shops we checked. Also, the owner (Bayram) has excellent English and comes across as a genuinely lovely man. It was a refreshing change from many other places. One item we bought, we got for 300lira, compres with 600lira asked in the market behind the blue mosque. I hope this helps other visitors in Istanbul. Obviously (?) trawling through markets and shops is part of the ‘Istanbul experience’, but for your final purchase you may want to check out this small, but charming store.
It was a delight to shop from here as the Owner Hasan is a very honest businessman . The prices in his store were very reasonable from the start as he doesn’t believe in the traditional bargaining from a crazy high to low price . We would definitely come back here again for shopping instead of haggling in the Grand Bazaar.
A beautiful little shop. It’s packed with gorgeous, high quality, hand made and genuine wares. This experience is so much better than the other flashy shops and markets. Bayram was warm and welcoming. Choosing from his vast (and sometimes hidden) collection was such a calm and enjoyable experience. In his gentle manner, Bayram shared his knowledge about art, history and poetry over a cup of tea. Highly recommended. I will return to fascinating Istanbul and to this little gem.
