The place is probably one of the most impressive attractions to visit in Istanbul. Beautiful inside and out. And the view is absolutely fantasting. Amazing architectural and historic monument!

There was no transportation to the Maiden's Tower because of the waves. I was very sad not to experience this. When I talked to the locals of Üsküdar, at least they informed me that it is getting closer to the land every year. They told a lot of stories about the building, but everyone brought a different ending. I know it's historically valuable, but it's a must see place even for someone who doesn't know.

Keep an eye out for this when on the ferry or a Bosphorus tour, it’s really beautiful and well worth looking out for. An icon of Istanbul.

Quite disappointed to find out that the Princess Tower was closed and above all clad in hoardings and scaffolding. It just ruined my plan for memorable pictures of the Bosphorus.

Its history, the Girl Tower in Istanbul has also been the subject of several legends. A young man known as Lindros reportedly fell in love with a monk named Hero who lived in the tower. Every night, the hero lit a fire to guide his beloved to this small island. One night, however, the fire was blown out of the island by a storm, and Lindros lost his way and drowned in the Bosphorus. The hero was so impressed that he could not resist and committed suicide.
