Right near Galata port this beautiful hammam bring together the ancient tradition with the modern beauty farm. Excellent treatment with massage and bubble bath. Only limit is the time separation for men and women that does not allow to go with your partner at the same hours.

Rarely have I ever enjoyed such a relaxing treatment. Every part of the experience puts you in a more relaxing state that is very healing for which your body will thank you. Whether it is about lounging the hamam drinking tea, laying on the hot slab of marble or being scrubbed clean - the entire experience is highly enjoyable in a very charming establishment.

At first, I was a bit hesitant to go to a hamam, mainly because i'm not comfortable being bathed by other man with other men, but my friend sort of convinced me to do it, i mean while we're there why not. So, we went there last minute, around 7 pm, not knowing that you have to make a reservation, we explained to the staff and they said that if the next group on the slot is not coming, then we can have their slot. I guess the stars were aligned that night, the group didn't show up so we could take their spot. We were given a key to our lockers and we put our stuff there and change our clothes there, then we were guided to the main bathing area, it was basically a big spa room. First we lay on our backs in the middle of the room, and just stay there for a while, i was sweating like a ton of sweat! A lemon water is given to you to drink. Then each person get a designated bather and they just do their thing, from soaking yourself with a cold water first, then scrubbing, then massage, then shampoo and to the whole nine yards. I was lucky enough to understand a tad of Turkish so I could make some fun conversation with my bather, my friend on the other hand, had a complete silent bath. Then we were guided to this cold room to dry ourselves off and we got covered in a bathrobe and then we existed the room, shook hands and thanked with our bather, we then just sit on one of the sofas and just lay there for a good 15 minutes to just absorb how good our body felt. We then changed back to our clothes and paid for the hamam. As someone that was a bit uncomfortable at first with the whole idea of bathing together, i was a changed man afterwards, they made it so safe and comfortable for everyone. Defo worth to try!

My partner had wanted to experience another hamam while we were in Istanbul and chose Kilic Ali Pasa. We were able to get an evening reservation that our hotel front desk was able to call in for. After a long day of sightseeing, we got to the hamam on a rainy night and were instantly transported with our treatments. After checking in, we had a welcome drink of Ottoman sherbet. We were led to the changing room/locker to change into our pestamals before being led into the heated main room to lay down and start sweating on the central platform, along with a glass of water for refreshment. It was zen-like laying on the heated stone, gazing up at the dome with the sounds of the hamam around us. Our attendants led us to a side chamber where we were scrubbed with the kese and received the bubble massage. My attendant gave one of the best bubble massages I received. It was also interesting that the exfoliation and the bubble massage happened in the side chamber and not on the central platform, unlike two other hamams in Istanbul. After a hair wash and draped in towels, we were led back out to the main dome to lounge on the comfortable seats to cool down and recover before ending our hamam experience here. I do wish the sherbet was given at the end of the treatment instead of as a welcome drink, though tea and other beverages were available as add-ons. All in all, this was my favorite hamam experience to date, in Istanbul.
