If you want to buy clothes, gadgets, jewellery, etc this is the district to be in. Our accommodation was also here. Made it easy to navigate and to travel with local public transport. Just be cautious when using a Taxi - they are not as honest as the Turkish people. Had only bad experiences with Taxi’s. Uber no different. Book an Uber and a Yellow Taxi arrives. Otherwise we will definitely be back for more - had to buy extra suitcase due to all the shopping.

The district is full of life, ideal for shopping, best restaurants and hotels.Also it is near to train station-Sougtlucesme.We visited in june 2022 and staied for 1 night in this area.

If you only visited the European side of Istanbul, you should go to Kadıköy now. Kadikoy Boga square is the best place to observe local people. this is the meeting point of local people.
